A Database of Resources for the State of Florida
There is an online database of resources available for seniors, disabled adults and caregivers throughout Florida. The database includes a list of non-profit agencies and private, for-profit businesses that serve seniors and/or disabled adults.
Individuals can call the Helpline at the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at 1-800-963-5337 (Calling from outside the area: 727-217-8111 ) for information about programs and services contained in the database.
The goal of the Aging and Disability Resource Center is to improve access to publicly funded, long-term care services, to public assistance programs such as Medicaid and Food Stamps, and to other community resources., including private, for-profit businesses.
Publicly funded programs may have wait lists and services are provided first to those who are in greatest need or at risk of being placed in a nursing home. Persons who meet the minimum eligibility standards will be referred to the Intake Department at the Area Agency for a more extensive telephone assessment.
